Not everyone needs the full route
One traveller may only need Dushanbe–Khorog, another a Wakhan section or a spare seat after Murghab. Partial overlap can still be useful.
A decision deadline changes the value
If nobody compatible appears in time, you may book a private car, change route or leave later. A match after that decision is too late.
What we are actually testing
Can compatible overlaps become visible earlier?
Guesthouses, WhatsApp groups, traveller forums, drivers and operators already help independent travellers share 4x4s and fill seats.
We are testing one narrower gap: compatible routes and dates exist in separate places, but people discover each other too late. This is not a generic travel-buddy board.
Why do you ask for contact details?
If a useful overlap appears, we need a way to reach you. We may also ask a short follow-up if something in your situation is unclear. This form is for the research project, not a mailing list.
