For independent travel businesses
List your travel business for free and become part of the journey
Put your business on a map built for backpackers, road trippers and overlanders looking for useful places, services and experiences while they travel.
Nearby discovery is only the first part of it. Our iOS and Android apps are being built around a context-aware travel planner that can work in the background, using route, location, interests and changing travel needs to surface relevant businesses along the journey.
You can be discovered because you fit the journey, not because the traveller already knew what to search for.
One active business listing per main category is free. No setup fee, no commission to appear and no payment details required.
Start with your listing. Create your free account when you are ready to publish. No app download needed.
Discovery starts before someone knows your name
A traveller does not need to know your business exists before it can be useful.
Someone passing through an area might need a bed tonight, a surfboard tomorrow, a camper for the next leg, somewhere to store a bag for two weeks, help with a vehicle or simply something local to do.
Very different businesses. One journey.
Most travel platforms become useful once someone is ready to book. We want this to be useful earlier, while the next need is still taking shape.
That is what the platform is built around: what is useful here, what might be useful next and what fits the way someone is travelling.
The goal is an automatic travel companion for the trip itself, connecting changing needs with useful places and businesses as the journey develops.
Already have Google, Instagram or your own website?
Keep them. This is another way to be discovered, not a replacement.
Google works well when a traveller already knows what to search for. Social media works well when they already know or come across your brand. Here, discovery can happen because your business is relevant to where someone is going and what they need.
Independent operators often ask us two things first.
For a free listing, there is no listing fee and you do not need to replace your current booking process. Keep using the website, booking page or social channel that already works for your business.
A good fit even without a major booking platform
You do not need a large distribution network or another booking-platform partnership.
Smaller independent businesses are often exactly the places travellers otherwise miss: a local rental operator, an activity run directly by its owner, luggage or vehicle storage, a small campground or practical help when plans change.
Would your business be genuinely useful to someone travelling through the area?
If yes, it probably belongs on the map.
Which businesses belong here?
Businesses that solve a real need during a trip, including:
- Camper, car, motorbike, bike and equipment rentals or sales
- Local activities and tours
- Surf, outdoor and sports businesses
- Luggage, gear or vehicle storage
- Vehicle services and practical help on the road
- Hostels, campgrounds and traveller-focused stays
A business with no real connection to travel may simply not be the right fit. That focus is deliberate.
What does a free business listing include?
One active business listing per main category is free.
A campground that also rents bikes, for example, can have a free listing in both Stays and Rentals.
Add photos, a description, opening hours, your location and the website, booking page or Instagram account you want travellers to use.
You also control how precisely your location appears publicly:
That works for fixed-location businesses as well as operators that do not want to publish an exact meeting or pickup point before a booking.
Need another active listing within the same category? Additional listings can be requested.

Questions businesses ask us
Is it really free to list my business?
Yes. One active business listing per main category is free, with no setup fee and no commission to appear.
Do I need to change how I take bookings?
No. Keep the booking or contact channels you already use and connect your listing to them.
On a small number of listings, if a partner booking option is available, the booking link may be routed through that partner instead. TRADEL does not charge your business a listing fee or commission for appearing.
Do I need to be on a major booking platform?
No. Independent businesses can list directly with their own website, booking page or social presence.
How is this different from a normal business directory?
It is built around what becomes relevant during a journey, rather than trying to list every business in a town. The mobile apps are being developed to take this further by suggesting useful businesses as a traveller's route, interests and needs change.
Can I control how my location is shown?
Yes. Choose an exact location, an approximate public location or an exact pickup location that becomes relevant after booking.
Do I need the app to add my business?
No. Create and publish your listing on the web. The apps are for travellers discovering what is useful along the way.
Put your business into the journey
If your business helps people stay, move, rent, store, repair, explore or keep travelling, give them another way to find you at the moment it becomes relevant.
